The 1986/87 Penny Post Board of Directors was officially elected July 29. These
seven people will be responsible for the ·Post's operation for the next 12 months. But,
although they are the elected decision making body, it is up to the rest of the Post's
membership to support the Board members with ideas, talent and good morale.
Board Members put a lot of time and energy into making sure the Post runs
successfully day-to-day. Without the rest of the membership helping their tasks
will be more difficult and the Post will suffer
Let's offer our support to the new Board of Directors by attending the business
meetings and looking for ways to make the coming year a great one for the Penny Post

Post's Financial Condition Continues to Improve
The Penny Post is in good financial shape as we enter the mid-summer. We're
not able to make any large purchases, but it appears the Post will stay open into the fall
traditionally the beginning of the busy season.
Remember, summer being a slow time for the Post, it is important that the
membership stops by occasionally. Let's keep up the momentum.

The second Monday in each month will now be Active Members' Night. On that
night any member who has given the Post 10 or more hours receives a $5 tab. It's
the P,?st's way of saying, "Thanks," to those who give it so much of their time and
energIes.
Remember, if you gave the Post 10 hours or more in July, be there for the first
Active Member's Night, August 11.
