Cool weather has not arrived yet, but we all DO
know it's fall. I've always felt that September 1st
should be New Year's Day because it feels I ike tl).e
beginning, especially in New Orleans where we come out
of air-conditioning hibernation. School starts,
everyone gets back to work and I ife gets into a
YOU (J
normal rhythm again.
At PJ' s this September has a couple of new
beginnings. This Spilling the Beans is 'our First
Edition and we're excited about the chance t~ inswer
your coffee questions, shar~ informati9n .,andlet you ,
know about specials. Let us know what you'd like to
see and we'll try to include it.
We will be opening a new cafe in the CBD soon.
Located at 530 Natchez Street, we'll be taking care
of the coffee and peace and quiet needs of those who
work downtown. We were able to find a CBD ' location '
with a beaut iful patio, exposed brick walls, lots of
room for meet ings and a location that makes it easy
for many folks to get quick service.
REMEMBER " WHEN •••

Out here at-the PJ's on North Carrollton Ave.,
we're enjoying our recently opened frori~ . deck, although
we're still waiting for some cool weather.
The smokers finally have a place to sit and some of
the regulars" especially those with youI15 children,
enjoy the outdoors.
We've made a recent addition to our card collecifon

JAVA JIVE
This summer, we began
roasting a new Guatem~lan
coffee from the Fraijanes
region, located in the sout
central part of the country
Our Fraijanes is from the
Santa Isabel farm and is
purchased from a broker wh
was in Guatemala with me
in February. After we had
cupped 75 plus coffees in 5
regions, we decided on this
Fraijanes for its good acid
ity, rich, smoky aroma and
full body. Sure to put a
zing into your morning step
