One out of every 10 persons has been, is, or will be a patient in a mental hospital. Dr. Robert A. Matthews, pro fessor of neuro-psychiatry at Louisiana State university, school! of medicine, made this statement at a Rotary Club luncheon at the St. Charles Wednesday.
Dr. Matthews said, it is difficult, to define mental health, "the borderline between the pathological and the normal is very thin."
Describing the mentally sick, Dr. Matthews named three
groups, the psychotic, the neurotic, and the psychosomatic.
