A symposium on the services to be offered by the Southeastern Louisiana State hospital for mentally ill, to be built at Mandeville, will be held Wednesday at 8 p. m. at the Roosevelt hotel, Dr. Loyd W. Rowland, director of the Louisiana Society for Mental Health, announced.
Dr. Walker Thompson, president of the New Orleans Society of Neurology and Psychiatry, will speak on what private psychiatrists hope will be included in the hospital's program, and Dr. Rowland will talk on "The Public Views the New Hospital."
Dr. Robert Bernhard, director of Charity hospital, will discuss the relationship of the new state hospital with the Charity hospital, and Dr. Henry O. Colomb, director of the neuropsychiatry department at Louisiana State university medicine school, will speak on "The Functional Organization of the Charity Hospital Psychiatric Unit and the Southeastern Louisiana State Hospital."
