A $2,000,000 appropriation by the state Legislature would enable the Louisiana State university medical school, located in New Orleans, to attract; and hold the best quality faculty and students, through necessary expansion of facilities, Vernon W. Lippard, dean of the school, said today.
Following a recent statement in which he stressed the necessity of expansion of the physical facilities of the school as an essential phase of the development as a center for medical education and research, the dean observed: "Obviously, buildings do not make a college."
