Two New Orleans doctors have been awarded the gold medal of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, it was learned today, for their research and exhibit on the trail of a baffling disease, the existence of which in the United States was unknown, it is said, when they started their research three and a half years ago. They reported it of frequent occurrence in New Orleans, made the largest record of autopsy findings of its existence in medical history, it is said; perfected an emulsion of the brains of mice and monkeys for its detection in diagnosis, and now are working on the trail of its cure. It has no known cure.
