Funeral services for Dr. Chester A. Stewart, director of the department of pediatrics at Louisiana State universtiy's medical school, will, be conducted at noon today at the House of Bultman, St. Charles and Louisiana avenues. Following the services the body will be taken to Minneapolis, Minn., for interment.
Dr. Stewart, who was 54 years old, died Friday morning in the doctors' infirmary at Charity hospital shortly after having been moved there following an attack of coronary thrombosis at his home, 2609 Calhoun street.
Dr. Setwart, who was a member of many medical societies, was also acting director of LSU's anatomy department. He had been at LSU since July of 1941, coming from the University of Minnesota where he had been on the university's hospital staff as professor of pediatrics for many years.
