Pres. W. B. Hatcher of Louisiana State University announced last night the resignation, effective July 1, of Dr: Clyde Brooks, director of the department of pharmacology and experimental therapeutics in the LSU school of medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Brooks has accepted the deanship of Essex school of medicine and surgery, Newark, N. J.
Dr, Brooks was among the first appointees to the LSU school of medicine which was organized in 1931. Prior to coming here, he served at the University of Alabama, and Ohio State University.
A noted golfer, he is a formed coacli of the tlniversity of Alabama's golf team, which he organized. He and his partner last year, won the Audubon Club's golf tournament iri New Orleans,
