Seven Louisiana students have received medical fellowships.
Steve M. Taylor, Crowley, a student at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, has accepted an appointment as a research training fellow at the Yale University School of Medicine, beginning in September. He will serve under Dr. William Gardner, professor and chairman of the Department of Anatomy at Yale.
Six New Orleans area students were awarded Louisiana Heart Association summer work-study fellowships through the Department of Medicine at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine. All are serving as research assistants to Dr. Gerald S Berenson, professor of medicine"
They are Gerald Hubbell and I James Barrett senior and jun-jior students at the LSU School |of Medicine; Emile Koretsky, a sophomore at LSUNO; Larry Webber, a sophomore at Tu-lane; Freddie Brickman, a 1964 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School who will enroll at Washington University (Mo.) in September, and Martin Koretsky, a senior at Isidore Newman School.
