Election of George King Logan, acting librarian of the New Orleans public library, as president of the New Orleans Library Club was announced Friday. He succeeds Mrs. Viola Andenson Perot-ti.
Other officers elected were: William D. Postell, librarian of Louisiana State Medical school library, vice-president; Miss Harriet Lemon, Loyola university library secretary; and. Miss Laura Leche, Marrero High school library, treasurer.
The election took place at the annual meeting in the Howard-Tilton library of Tulane university. The program was a discussion of the libraries for service men in the New Orleans area and talks were given by Miss Kather-ine Hanley, librarian at LaGarde General hospital; Miss Esther Schuerman, librarian at the United States naval station, Algiers; and Miss Ann Giddens, an army camp librarian.
