The Louisiana State School of Medicine will confer degrees on 110 candidates, including six women, at 3 p. m. Friday in the Municipal Auditorium.
Dr. Charles Cameron Sprague, dean of the Tulane University Medical School, will be the commencement speaker.
Candidates will be presented by Dr. Edgar Hull, acting dean of the LSU Medical School. The degrees are to be conferred by Dr. John A. Hunter, LSU president.
Top scholastic honors will go to Albert Richard Corne Jr. of St. Martinville, who graduates with a four-year medical school grade average of 90.42.
Corne will receive his scholarship award from Dr. Robert L. Simmons., director of student alfairs, on behalf of the LSU Medical Alumni Association.
Two New Orleans brothers, Alvin S. and Carl S. Merlin, will graduate together.
