Excerpted text	The Louisiana State University School of Medicine has received two $1000 grants to sup- port existing research and educational programs, Dr. William W. Frye LSU vice-president and dean of the School of Medicine announced. One grant was by the C.I.B.A. Pharmaceutical Company of New York for training of resident physicians in dermatology, to Dr. C. Barrett Kennedy, professor and head of the Department of Dermatology, and Syphilology. Dr. Emil Kotcher, research professor of tropical medicine and medical parasitology, received a grant from Merck and Company of New York to augment studies of the effects of parasitism on intestinal mal-absorption.
