Dr; Richard E. Reeves, who hasJ been a member of the Lou-| isiana State University medical; faculty in New Orleans for the past 10 years, has been granted a Career Research Award by the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Md.
The award, which becomes! effective July 1, was made on; the basis of nationwide competition and is granted to outstanding researchers in schools of medicine or dentistry. It is the first ever to be granted to a member of the LSU School: of Medicine.
In addition to his work at LSU, Dr. Reeves has traveled throughout Latin America participating in LSU-sponsored programs of the International Center for Medical Research and Training, San Jose, Costa Rica,| and the University of Costa Rica School of Medicine,
