The two top interns at Touro Infirmary during the past year were honored at the annual intern-resident banquet last night at Irwin's Restaurant.
Dr. James B. Falterman was named the Intern of the Year and given a $100 check and a Touro pin by Dr. Iryin Caher^ chairman of the medical staff.~~
Dr. Morris X Kloor ^ Jr. received tEe Ru3oTph^~Matas Award for the outgoing intern
who showed the greatest abili; and zeal in the service of Tour Infirmary as exhibited by the excellence of his medical his- f tories and clinical records.
Dr, Falterman, a native of Jeanerette, and Dr. Kloor, a native of Crowley, were graduated from the Louisiana State University medical school in 1962.
Honors were paid to 36 interns and residents at the dinner.
Dr. Oscar Blitz, a member of the Touro medical staff, thanked the interns for their work and voiced confidence in their future.
Past year's activities were received by Dr. Paul Reyes, chairman of the intern-resident committee.
Dr. David Brinkman acted as master of ceremonies.
