Dr. James B. Falterman and
Dr. Morris J. Kloor Jr., Monday
night were honored as the two top interns at Touro during the Last year at the annual intern-resident banquet in Irwin's Restaurant.
The top award went to Dr. Falterman, named the Intern of the Year. He was presented a check for $100 and a Touro pin Dr. Irvin Cahen, chairman of the Hospital's- Medical staff.
Dr. Falterman, a native of Jeanerette, graduated from Louisiana State University medical school in 1962.
Dr. Kloor received the Rudolph Matas Award, presented to the outgoing intern who has displayed the greatest ability and zeal in the service of Touro Infirmary as exhibited by the excellence of his medical histories and clinical records.
Dr. Kloor, also a 1962 graduate of the LSU medical school, is a native of Crowley.
Some 36 interns and residents were honored at the annual dinner.
