The Louisiana Thoracic Society will hold its annual meeting at the Frances Hotel in Monroe Friday and Saturday.
Approximately 250 Louisiana chest specialists, pediatricians and general practitioners are expected to attend the meeting of the medical section of the Louisiana Tuberculosis Association, according to Dr. John J. Walsh, president of the society.
Dr. James W. Raleigh, medical director, American Thoracic Society, New York, will be the featured speaker at the opening luncheon session Friday.
Dr. Morton Brown, chief, pulmonary service, Veterans Administration Hospital, New Orleans, will present a paper on use of antituberculosis drugs in undiagnosed pulmonary lesions.
Other New Orleans doctors expected to take part in the program are John H. Phillips, | Morton M. Ziskind and Law-, rence H. Strug.
"Dr. kans Weill, New Orleans, will present a paper at the opening of the Saturday sessions on early diagnosis of lipoid pneumonia. A paper on pulmonary manifestations of abdominal disease will be presented by Dr. John N. Bickers, jNew Orleans. Participating New Orleans doctors will be -Hurst Hatch and Oscar Blitz.
Dr. Howard A. Buechner, New Orleans, chairman of the planning committee for the Monroe meeting, will conclude the sessions with a clinical chest conference.
Dr. Morton Brown, New Orleans, will make a case presentation. Panel members will include New Orleans doctors Blitz, Hatch, Strug, Ziskind and Jack C. Geer.
