The newly-formed United Cerebral Palsy medical-professional advisory board has asked establishment of occupational and physical therapy schools at Tulane or Louisiana State universities.
No university in the state offers such training, for which there is an obvious need, said the board.
Formed last weekend, the board named Dr. J. D. Russ, New Orleans pediatrician, as chairman. Dr. H. R. Soboloff, New Orleans, was elected vice-chairmas.
Both men are on the teaching staffs of Tulane and LSU medical schools.
The board will function as an advisory agency of United Cerebral Palsy of Louisiana to provide consultation and guidance in direct patient service areas, and profesesional education and information in the medical and paramedical fields concerned with cerebral palsied children and adults.
