Dr. Merrill O. Hines, medical director of the Ochsner clinic, was elected president Thursday of the Greater New Orleans Area Unit of the American Cancer Society, Louisiana Division Inc.
Other officers elected at the annual meeting of the board of directors in the board room of the National American bank include: Philip Gensler, vice-president; Leonard Gessner, treasurer, and Miss Lucille Baker, secretary.
New board members elected are: Dr. John G. Arnold, Miss Baker, Dr. Robert Bernhardt Jr., Dr. Donovan C. Browne, Dr. William Harris Jr., Dr. Joseph O. Kuebel, Dr. Harry Philibert, Dr. Sue Schaefer, Dr. Edmond Souchon and C. C. "Bud" Walther. PHOTO: DR. MERRILL O.
