Funeral services for Dr. Carlo, Joseph Tripoli, associate clinical professor of medicine at Louisiana State university school of medicine, will be at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday from the auxiliary funeral home of Jacob Schoen and Son Inc., 3827 Canal.
A requiem low mass will follow at St. Anthony of Padua church, 4640 Canal. Interment will, be in Lakelawn mausoleum.
Dr. Tripoli died suddenly at his residence, 744 Crystal, on Monday morning. He was 56.
A native of New Orleans, he was a graduate from the Tulane university school of medicine in 1929. He practiced diagnostic internal medicine in New Orleans.
Dr. Tripoli was on the staffs of Hotel Dieu, Mercy hospital, and Touro Infirmary. He was president of the Hotel Dieu staff in 1950.
In 1939-40 Dr. Tripoli served on a special medical mission to Greece sponsored by the Helis foundation.
He was a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Patholo-
gists, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroscopic Society, and a mem- ber of the American Medical So ciety, Louisiana State Medical So-! ciety, and Orleans Parish Medical Society.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Garland Tripoli; a son, William A. Tripoli; and a daughter, Miss Carolyn R. Tripoli, all of New Orleans.
