Just as "Alice," of "Alice in Wonderland," was able to adjust to the crazy world of the "Mad Hatter" and the "Red Queen," so can today's teenager "adjust to a crazy world."
This is what a Portland, Ore. gynecologist told doctors Thursday in urging a more sympathetic interest in the problems of the teen-age girl.
"The teens represent a true-life Alice in Wonderland experience," said Dr. Ra,lph C. Benson. "A girl is transformed from a child into a person capable of bearing children. She needs affectionate understanding."
Dr. Benson was a feature speaker at the silver anniversary meeting of the New Orleans Graduate -Medical Assembly which closed Thursday at the Roosevelt hotel.
As another high light of the meeting, Mrs. Irma B. Sherwood was presented a handsome silver casserole dish and tray in recognition of 25 years of outstanding, service as executive secretary of] he assembly.
