Sister Kathleen Mary, S.C.N., dean of the Georgetown university school of nursing, Washington, D. C, will be keynote speaker Monday at the opening of a two-week medical institute at De Paul hospital.
Subject of two-week meeting is "'Behavioral Concepts in Basic Curriculum." It is sponsored by the hospital's affiliate school of psychiatric nursing through a federal educational grant. Attending will be nursing instructors from the hospital's 14 affiliating schools located in five Southern states.
An important phase of the program is a series of daily group clinical sessions on the various hospital units.
Group leaders will be Miss Joyce Travelbee, assistant professor, Louisiana State university school of nursing; Sister Char-lene, St. Vincent hospital nursing director, St. Louis; Sister Mary Anne, De Paul nursing director; Miss Marie E. Overheu, De Paul clinical instructor, and Miss Patricia Hollier, Charity hospital clinical instructor.
