William J. Guste Jr. has been re-elected president of the Cancer Association of New Orleans, The following officers were also re-elected:
Dr. E. Perry Thomas, first vice-president; Dr. William B. Arrowsmith, second vice-president; Dr. Don Peterson, secretary, and Robert E. Elliott, treasurer. Elected as new members of the board of directors were Dr. C. L. Brown Jr., John B. Bunker, Dr. J. M. Epps, Dr. George H. Hauser, Dr. Abe Mickal and Boatner Reily HI.
The following were re-elected to the board;
Mrs. Louis Claverie, Dr. Oscar Creech Jr., William W. Frye, Dr. Norman S. Gilbert, Dr. Clifford Grulee, Charles Schwartz Jr., Dr. Billy G. Taylor and Mrs. Leon WolrT' A total of $220,000 was granted by the New Orleans association for local cancer research in the past year, said Guste.
