The Louisiana Academy of General Practice will hold its 14th annual Scientific Assembly Oct. 11-13 at the municipal auditorium in Lafayette. .
■ A pre-convention party will be held Oct. 10, hosted by Dr. J. William Crookshank, president of the LAGP* and Mrs. Crookshank of Lake Charles, and Dr. Ernest B, Flake, president-elect, and Mrs. Flake of Shreveport.
Dr. Mdredge L. Carroll of Columbia, speaker, will open the season of the congress of delegates'during the morning of Oct. 11. Vice-speaker will be Dr. John G. McClure of Welsh.

Welcoming addresses will be rnade by J. Rayburn Bertrand, mayor of Lafayette, and Dr. Edgar ^re^ux, president of the La-fayette Parish Medical Society.
Dr. Edward M. Harrell of Lafayette, 1960 convention chairman, will make the response for the academy.
Dr. Flake will preside at the morning session Oct. 12, with Dr. Esmond A. Fatter of New Orleans, academy past president, presiding at the afternoon session.
Dr. Harrell will preside at the final session Oct. 13.
Dr. Floyd C. Bratt of Rochester, N. Y., president-elect of the American Academy of General Practice, will install new LAGP officers at the dinner Oct. 12.
Speakers during the three-day meeting will include Dr. T. A. Watters of New Orleans, clinical professor of psychiatry at Louisiana State university school of medicine.
Dr., Rafael C. Sanchez, assistant Orleans parish coroner, will assist in a clinical pathological conference.
Several commercial and scientific exhibits will be presented at the assembly. Louis L. Bahn of New Orleans is ehairman 'of the technical exhibitors committee, assisted by J. Coleman Hensley of Lafayette and Frank Massari of New Orleans.
Dr. Francis I. Nicolle of New Orleans, secretary of the LAGP, is liaison officer for the academy to the exhibitors committee.
