A grant of $27,048 to the Touro infirmary department of electro-cardiographic research was announced Saturday by Dr. John C. Mackenzie, hospital director,! and Dr. Sam Threefoot, research: director.
The three-year grant was made to principal investigators, Dr. Manuel Gardberg and Dr. Irving; R. Rosen, by the United States j Public Health Service, to investigate recovering potentials of the heart muscle.
Touro's electrocardiograph^ research department is presently studying heart abnormalities inj children and adults. Other research departments there are studying vascular diseases and cancer.
