Emphasis on mutual respect of persons within a marriage was stressed at a pre-marriage clinic at the Church House, 330 St. Charles.
Dr. T. A. Watters local phy-i chiatrist in speaking on "3ocio-! Psychological Aspects of Marriage and Home," told the group that, "Marriage is a double feed-back system with both parties having to give and take on equal parts."
He also said that marriage is not a cure for neurosis problems, but it is a negotiation that sets in motion a co-operation of achievement and activity.
Dr.Myron C. Madden, chap=j lain and director of the depart-' ment of pastoral care at Southern Baptist hospital, spoke on "The Spiritual Aspects of the Home."
He said, "The only possible fulfillment in marriage is loyalty not to past generations or coming ones, but to the partner united in marriage.
Also on the program was Dr. Simon V. Ward, who spoke on I "Psychological Aspects of Marriage."
The clinic was sponsored by the Greater New Orleans Federation of Churches.
