Plans are nearing completion for the Louisiana Academy of Sciences meeting which will be held at Northwestern State college April 29 and 30, Dr. Rene' J. Bien-venu, chairman of the planning committee at Northwestern, said.
Dr. Bienvenu has announced a symposium has been arranged under the direction of Dr. Alvin Bertrand of the department of
sociology at LSU, entitled "Social Science Frontiers.*'
Dr. George C. Kent Jr., president of the academy and professor of zoology at Louisiana State university, stated that Dr. Frank N. Low, professor of anatomy at the Louisiana State university school of medicine, has accepted an invitation to speak at an annual banquet. Dr. Low's topic will be "Electron Microscopy in Biological Research/' ^H
Mush of the program will be devoted to the presentation of scientific papers by scientists from throughout the state.
