National legislation affecting the medical profession, will be discussed at a meeting in Alexandria Sunday of the component parish and district medical societies of the Louisiana State Medical Society.
The meeting will last through the day and is expected to attract physicians from all sections of the state. Dr. W. ,Robyn Hardy, New Orleans society president, will preside.
Featured speakers will include United States Rep. Harold B. MeSween, Alexandria; Aubrey D. Gates, Chicago, director of field services, American Medical Association; Charles Johnson, Chicago, field representative of the AMA; Dr. C. Grenes Cole, New Orleans, secretary-treasurer of the Louisiana State Medical Society; Dr. Philip H. Jones, New Orleans, delegate to the AMA; and Dr. Cuthbert J. B?own, New Orleans, chairman of the committee on Congressional matters and Louisiana legislative consultant for the AMA.
Also on the speaking agenda are Dr. T. E. tmiks, Alexandria, president of tie Rapides Parish Medical Sociex/; Dr. R. "EX C. Miller. Alexandra, coun-

Rouge; chairman of the state society's committee on public policy and legislation; Mrs. J. T. Willis, Alexandria, president of the women's auxiliary of the I state society, and Percy J. Lan-dry, Baton Rouge, legislative
consultant for the society.
In addition to national legislation affecting the medical profession, economic and political subjects will also be discussed.
Dr. Hardy said the meeting is I being held as part of the state society's program for building up physician participation in various socio-economic and political projects. Another purpose, he added, is to help establish grass roots support for the society's program.
