A two-day meeting of the American Cancer Society, Louisiana Division, Inc., will open Friday at the Sheraton-Charles hotel.
Lane W. Adams of New York, N. Y., executive vice-president of the national society, will address the opening session at 12:30 p. m.
The luncheon session will also include a presentation of a national citation to Fred Huene-feld of Monroe, state crusade chairman, by Mrs. W. J. Richard of Lafayette, . president of the division.
The afternoon session will' open with a presentation of 'the! research projects being car-ried out in Louisiana under grants from the society. The three New Orleans doctors giving the reports will be Dr. Emmanuel Farber, Dr. Albert Sega-loff and Dr. Charles C. Sprague. Dr. A. H. Storck, president of the Greater New Orleans Area unit, will act as chairman.
The research program of the Louisiana division will then be outlined by Sister Mary Luke, instructor of biology at Dominican college, and Dr. Merle Mizell, assistant professor, department of zoology, Tulane university. Four of the 16 Louisiana medical school students awarded summer student fellowships will also outline the work done under the grants.
The meeting will reconvene Saturday at 9 a. m. when the committee and officers' reports will be presented and directors to the division board elected.
