Dr, Howard, Mahorner, clini cal professor of surgery at the LSU school of medicine and director of the Mahorner Clinic, will lead the ,United Fund campaign among the more than 800 doctors in New Orleans this year. ,
His appointment by Dr. Hugh Beacham, president of the Orleans Parish Medical Society,, was announced Monday.
Dr. Mahorner is secretary of the board of governors of the American College of Surgeons. He studied medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and trained in surgery at the Mayo Clinic.
