Robert D. Aldrich of Baton | Rouge has been named chairman of the 1960 Heart Fund in Louisiana.
Mrs. Calvin Schwing of Plaquemine will be vice-chairman of the state campaign to be launched in February.
Their appointments were announced by Dr. Homer J. Du-puy, president of the Louisiana/ Heart Association.

The Heart Fund each year finances the research, education and community service programs of LHA, an affiliate of the American Heart Association.
"We are extremely pleased," said Dr. Dupuy, "that Mr. Aid-rich and Mrs. Schwing have accepted these important appointments in the fight against heart disease
'By laying the groundwork early, we hope to have an even more successful Heart Fund campaign in 1960." $36,000 Increase
A total of $252,000 was raised in 1959 by parish heart councils in Louisiana, a $36,000 increase over the previous year's campaign.
Aldrich, a past president of the New Orleans Association of Life Underwriters, succeeds Dave L. Pierce of Baton Rouge. Pierce was state chairman of the fund for four consecutive years.
Mrs. Schwing is a member of the Louisiana State university! board of supervisors, and a past president of the Louisiana Library Association.
