As a medical student and a young voter in our state, I feel it is my duty to write regarding the health of our governor. Gov. Long has been judged to need hospitalization.
This diagnosis was made by two groups of psychiatrists, doctors specially trained in dealing with emotional and mental trouble. Each of these doctors has had at least nine years of medical training. I think it is highly unlikely that they made a mistake in their diagnosis.
The governor is having emotional problems. This is no disgrace. However, emotional illness, like physical illness, needs to be treated properly so that it can be cured. The governor needs
hospitalization—-now....
