BATON ROUGE—Jesse H. Bankston, director of the state department of hospitals, said last night no definite diagnosis of Gov. Earl K. Long's illness has been made.
Long is confined under court commitment to the Southeast Louisiana hospital at Mandeville, one of the several hospitals under Bankston.
Latest of the medical bulletins on Long's illness and condition was issued late last night. Like other bulletins previously issued it described the governor's condition as ''satisfactory."
Here is the text of the bulletin:
"Gov. Long's condition remains satisfactory.
"This afternoon he was visited by his attorney. Mr. Joseph Arthur Sims. At Mr. Sims* request, Dr. Rudolph Easterly, director of the department of wildlife and fisheries, also visited with governor briefly.
"I have not talked with Mr. Sims since he conferred with the governor.
"Gov. Long continues co-operative with his physicians, was seen today by Dr. Edgar Hull, co-dean of the LSU School of Medicine; Dr. Robert Heath, chairman of the Tulane department of psychiatry and neurology; Dr. Charles Watklns, chairman of the LSU department of psychiatry; Dr. Richard Paddison, professor of neurology at LSU School of Medicine, as well as Dr. Victor Lief, internist, and Dr. Anthony Rousos, of the hospital staff (a psychiatrist)/5 "His physicians have in-
formed me that extensive diagnostic studies are under way. A definite diagnosis has not been established.
