60 Years' Service Observed; Savants Cite Trends at
Graduate Study -- The 60th anniversary of the beginning of the professional practice of Dr. Rudolph Matas, internationally famed New Orleans surgeon, was celebrated at Monday night's session of the fourth annual meeting of the New Orleans Graduate Medical Assembly, which opened earlier in the day at The Roosevelt.
Dr. Matas, who spoke on "Along the Highways of Medicine in Louisiana," was introduced at the session by Dr. Elliott Carr Cutler of Boston, professor of surgery at the Harvard university medical school. Dr. Emmett L. Irwin, president of the New Orleans Graduate Medical Assembly, presided.
