Eighteen students in the Tulane university school of medicine were
initiated into the Tulane chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha, national honor medical fraternity, Tuesday night at T. Pittari's restaurant.
They were: senior students-Clyde Copeland, Jackson, Miss.; Kathleen Rives, Mansfield; Donna Kern, Wynnewood, Pa.; Dewey Lane, and Pretiss Smith, Hatties-j burg, Miss.; Stanton Shuler, Shreveport; Wayne Tobm, Miami Beach; and Maro Kerlin, William
Mentzer, Henry Parems, and Bernard Schneider, New Orleans.
Junior students — John Binns, Frank Davis and Homer Loch-ridge, New Orleans; White Gibson, Birmingham; and Delmas Jackson, Monroe.
Dr. James Rives, professor and chairman of the department of surgery in the Louisiana State university school of medicine, spoke on "Surgery: A Study in Frustration."
