Following Walter M. Barnett's request that the Louisiana Heart Association re-enter the United Fund, Dr. Sanford W^uthill,
Bogalusa and Dr. Homer J^Du-puy, New Orleans^" issued a written statement.

"We welcome this opportunity to explain our Heart Fund policy following Mr. Walter M. Barnett's request that the Louisiana Heart Association re-enter the New Orleans' United Fund. This plea was made of five other non-participating groups, all national health agencies.
"Leaders of this association believe in the United Fund as a means for financing local welfare and charitable purposes.
