Dr. Wallace J. Landry Jr,
New Orleans radiologist, died about 3 p. m. Saturday at hii residence, 6535 Argonne. He was 44.
Funeral services will be con ducted at 9:30 a. m, Monday at the funeral home of Jacob Schoen and Son, Inc., 3821 Canal, followed by religion services at St Dominic's church. Interment will be in Metairie cemetery.
Dr. Landry apparently suf fered a heart attack, a spokes man for the family said.
He was a native of Baton rouge and had lived in New Orleans for the past 15 years.
After receiving a degree in accounting and business : administration from Louisiana State university, he decided to study medicine. In 1947, he graduated from the LSU school of medicine and served as intern and resident at Charity hos-pital until 1951.
At the time of his death he practiced in association with Dr. Theodore Brierre and Dr. Norman Hunt.
Dr. Landry was president- elect of the New Orleans Radio logical Society. He was diplo-mate of the American College of Radiology and a member of the Orleans parish, Louisiana; and American Medical Associa-i tions, the Catholic Physician's j Guild, the Knights of Columbus1 and the Holy Name Society.
Surviving are his widow, the former Clare Birrcher, and eight children, Judy, Mary Clare, Elizabeth, Wallace m, Lynn, Margaret, Joseph and Annette.
