Members of the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association will assemble at the Crippled Children's hospital Oct. 16 for the opening of a three-day clinical meeting.
Initial sessions will be held at the hospital from 8:30 a. m. to 1 p. m. Speakers from Baton Rouge and their topics are: Dr. Moss Bannerman, "A Bone Tumor," and Dr. Alvin Stander,
"Extremity Desmoids," which in lay language means a muscle tumor.
Dr. Edward Simonton, Shreve-port, will discuss "Bone Grafting with Cultured Calf Bone."
New Orleans speakers scheduled to address the clinical meeting are: Dr. Daniel Rior-dan, who will discuss "Open Reduction of a Dislocated Spine;" Dr. Irvin Cahen, whose topic will be ""Congenital Dislocation of the Hip;" Dr. Nick Accardo, "Hip Prosthesis;" Dr. Harry Morris, "Arthrogrypo-sis," and Dr. H. Soboloff, "Eg-gers Transplant."
On Saturday, Oct. 18, a scientific program will be conducted from 8:30 a. m. to 4 p. m. Dr. George W. N. Eggers, Gal-veston, Tex., will speak, having as his topic, "Treatment of Cysts of the Illiac Acetablum (hip) and Fractures of the Medial Meniscus." Dr. H. Virgin, Miami, Fla., will discuss "An Unusual Case of Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease," while Dr. Dennis Rosenberg, local vascular surgeon, will have as his theme, "The Orthopaedists and Vascular Problems."
Other speakers will include Dr. Cahen, Dr. Jack Wickstrom and Dr. Irving Redler, New Or-leans; Dr. *lWnas Campanella, Baton Rouge, and Dr. Daniel Kingsley, Alexandria. Dr. Redler is president of the association.
