Advances in transportation are increasing woes in the medical world, a Baton Rouge pathologist said here today.
Dr. Albert L. McQuown, pathologist for Our Lady of the Lake hospital in Baton Rouge, told delegates to the 14th annual convention of the Louisiana State Society of Medical Tech-
nologists that the "time has passed when we do not have tc be concerned about rare, exotic diseases."
"Sure we have brought a Io1 of diseases under control in this country," he said, "but with so much interchange of population from foreign countries a whole disease epidemic could be touched off again."
