Medical schools must delve deeper into the possibilities of preventative medicine in science's war against disease, a nationally-known medical administrator and a top pathologist agreed here Monday.
Emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis were Dr. Robert A. Moore, vice-chancellor of the Schools of the Health Professions, University of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Dr. John R. Schenken, professor* and heabfof the department of pathology, University of Nebraska medical school. Dr. Schenken is former assistant dean and pathology professor at Louisiana State university medical school.
The two medical experts led a panel discussion as part of the joint annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and the College of American Pathologists. The five-day meeting got under way Monday at the Roosevelt hotel.
