A quarter of a million dollar grant to the Louisiana S t a t e university medical school for expansion of its tropical medicine program was announced today.
£>r. William W. Frye, dean of the school, said the award iwas made by the National institute of Health and covers a.- five-year period.
"This program will provide fellowships for teachers and graduate students in medical and other graduate schools in the United States and Canada to gain practical experience and to perform research in parasitology, tropical medicine and other fields of microbiology," Dr. Frye said.
