Two dental groups today took issue with a fluoridation committee which announced yesterday it opposes adding fluorides to New Orleans drinking water at this time.
L. G. Roeling, chairman, fluoridation committee, New Orleans Dental Association, said his group "is shocked but not sur-
prised at the arrogant and corr temptuous disregard of the pub" lie welfare shown by the special fluoridation committee of the* Sewerage and Water Board." L
Dr. Paul Cook, chief of the section of dental and school health, Louisiana state department of health, said the state department has been recommending the fluoridation for the past four years.
He said that 31 million person* in 1426 communities are usinf fluoridated water.
