With approximately 2000 members from all parts of the United States and from Hawaii in attendance, the 23rd annual session of the American College of Physicians will open at 2:30 p. m. today at the Municipal Auditorium.
In the five-day session men prominent in the profession will discuss the problems, trends and advancements in the field of American medicine. Papers will be presented upon the new drug, sulfapyridine, which is said to have revolutionized the treatment of many types of pneumonia, and the physicians' attitude toward socialized medicine will be considered.
