District Attorney Frank H. Langridge said Friday he will meet Monday with Jefferson parish Constable Vial J. Blanke to discuss gambling charges brought by Blanke against Vic Gallo.
Gallo was arrested Sunday night by Blanke, who raided an alleged gambling casino at 12C Chesterfield. Gallo was booked at the East Bank1 jail, with gambling by operating a dice game.
Langridge said the affidavit filed, by the constable, listing the charge against Gallo, is "pretty sketchy." More information on the raid and the evidence confiscated will be needed before he can ' accept the charge, he said. ...
Dr. O. R. Depp, chairman of the Citizens Defense Committee of Jefferson Parish, said leaders of the movement met Friday night to formally invite the constable to take an active part in the campaign.
