Election of two assistant professors of pathology and bacteriology in the school of medicine of Louisiana State university to memberships in scientific groups was announced Monday by Dr. Rig-ney D'Aunoy, dean of the school,
Dr, Bela Halpert was elected to active membership in the New Orleans Academy of Sciences and Dr. Albert E. Casey to membership in the American Association of Anatomists.
Dr. D'Aunoy said also that Dr. George W. McCoy, director of the department of public health and preventive medicine, will represent the United States public health service at the meeting of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, Inc., in New York today and at the meeting of the national board of medical examiners in Washington Sunday.
