Tulane university and Louisiana State university Tuesday were presented grants totaling $4000 by the New Orleans Variety Club and United Cerebral Palsy Association of Louisiana.
The grants were presented at the Hutchinson Memorial building by John E. Rolland Jr., executive director of the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Louisiana, and Page Baker, chief barker of the Variety Club, Tent 45, New Orleans. The club is an organization of entertainment personnel, and is nation-wide in scope. Dr. Maxwell E. Lapham, dean of Tulane's school of medicine, and Dr. Edgar Hull, associate dean of LSU's medical school, received the checks on behalf of the universities.
