Four Louisiana State university medical students were arrested today after a French Quarter fight with an off-duty policeman in a squabble over a parking spot.
Booked at the First District police station with simple battery were:
Edgar Galloway, 22, Shreve-* port, who resides here at 2103 Chestnut.
Edwin P. Jenevein, 21, Monroe, same address here. . Albert S. Donald, 22, Monroe, 1531 Jackson here..
Lawrence McAlpin, 21, Lake Charles, 841 Baronne. Two Sent to Hospital
Treated at Charity hospital following the fray in the 700 block of St. Peter at 11 p. m. were: Galloway, lacerations over the left eye.
Ptn. Roger Leoncavallo, 37, 617 Fern, a member of the police emergency squad, a fractured" rib,
Leoncavallo was quoted by Sgt, Romain Rousset as saying he was attempting to park his car when another automobile occupied by four men, pulled up behind him. ... The stories of the four medical students, who arrived in New Orleans only this week, differed from Leoncavallo's report.
