Polio is still a problem and the public should continue to take proper precautions not to contract the disease, Dr. J. D. Martin, epidemiologist with the state health department, said Saturday.
He said the new polio vaccine will not be available to everyone this summer, in emphasizing the public can not afford to let up in polio precautions recommended by the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis.
These are the rules:
Don't get overtired, don't get chilled, avoid new groups, keep clean and see your doctor when not feeling well.
