Dr. C. D. Head, Jr., Starts Work On Big Project For State--Dr. C. D. Head, Jr., past assistant surgeon of the United States Public Health Service, arrived in New Orleans yesterday to open the service's pneumonia control program in Louisiana.
He went into conference immediately with Dr. Rigney D'Aunoy, dean, and other Louisiana State university Medical Center authorities, and was assured of all possible cooperation. The first laboratory of the program will be established at the center on arrival of Miss Helen Jarl, formerly of the department of agriculture and now a pneumonia technician for the service.
