Dr. Jane Carver, Lakeland, Fla.,, was the recipient of the Herbert Weinberger award as best medical resident in gastroenterology and internal medicine at Touro infirmary for 1954-55.
The award, n check for $100, was presented by Mrs. Jerome Goldman, daughter of the late Dr. Weinberger.
Mrs. Goldman said that the annual award was established in a trust fund to memorialize Dr. Weinberger, who was deeply interested in the fields of internal medicine and gastroenterology (anatomy and pathology of the stomach and intestines) and in the work of young doctors.
Dr. Carver is a 1952 graduate of the Women's Medical College of Pennsylvania.
