A suit for $105,000 was filed in federal district court Monday by Mr. and Mrs. Allen Trosclair against the Maryland Casualty Co. for alleged injuries which Mrs. Trosclair suffered during and resulting from a surgical operation.
In the suit Mrs. Trosclair asked $80,000 and Trosclair asked for $25,000, claiming that Dr. Herman Rabin on June 7, 1954, while performing a vaginal hysterectomy on Mrs. Trosclair for removal of her uterus "inadvertently cut open the bladder of plaintiff, Mrs. Trosclair, and while he attempted to repair same caused damage to her left ureter, that the damage to the left ureter of Mrs. Trosclair, caused by Dr. Herman Rabin, resulted in injury, to Mrs Trosclair's left kidney which necessitated Mrs. Trosclair undergoing a series of operations which ultimately resulted in the removal of her left kidney, and that Mrs. Trosclair is still undergoing treatment as a result of the herein mentioned operations."
